This article covers Import Updates for:

eLogii is able to identify the entities to update based on any of the following identifiers:

  • UID - Unique IDs generated by eLogii upon entity creation.

  • Reference - Values attributed to a particular entity. These do not need to be unique values.

  • External ID - Unique values attributed to a particular entity.

It is possible to select more than one identifier for CSV update. In addition, you are free to download any of the CSV Templates (found in the Import section of any entity) which give you an overview of some of the information you can update.

Task Update

Updating existing tasks can be done in Tasks ⇒ Import ⇒ Configuration.

There is an option of choosing between updating based on the task UID (generated automatically on import) or reference.

Kindly note when updating existing Tasks not all data can be changed.

By default, configurable data includes: date, dateRange, meta, tags, customData, dimensions and items. This can be overridden in Configuration ⇒ Imports by selecting the option to Enable updating all Task fields on import update (even ones which require manual reoptimization). In other words, this will allow users to update all Task fields.

Driver Update

In case you need to perform large-scale changes to your Driver data (for example, you'd like to add different skills to some Drivers, or change their start location), instead of doing it manually, you are able to add that data to a CSV file and use it to update any Driver information you'd like. Updating Driver data can be done in Drivers Import.

Attach the file with the existing Driver data that contains values you would like to update. Click Next until you get to the Configuration section where you may choose what to do with the data, and you need to select the Update existing option to let eLogii know that this is the desired action.

The next step is to tell eLogii how it should match the data i.e. how it should recognize which Drivers to update, and you may choose at least one of the available options.

Lastly, click Import to update the Drivers.

Vehicle Update

Updating Vehicle data can be done in Vehicles ⇒ Import ⇒ Updates.

Attach the file with the existing Vehicle data that contains values you would like to update. Click Next until you get to the Configuration section where you may choose what to do with the data, and you need to select the Update existing option to let eLogii know that this is the desired action.

The next step is to tell eLogii how it should match the data i.e. how it should recognize which Vehicles to update, and you may choose at least one of the available options.

Click Import to apply the update.

Vehicle Type Update

The same logic applies for Vehicle type update.

Go to Vehicles ⇒ Vehicle type ⇒ Import ⇒ Updates.

Click Import to apply the update.

Customer Update

Customers are updated by going to Customers ⇒ Import ⇒ Updates.

Click Import to apply the update.
