SFTP is a protocol that enables import transfers between two different servers. The main idea behind SFTP Import in eLogii is to automate CSV file import (while also applying mapping) without needing an API connection. Your server can send a CSV file to the eLogii server at a specific time, and the eLogii's server will detect a new file and start the import.

SFTP can be set up through Configuration β‡’ Imports/exports, under Automated SFTP imports.

The option to Automatically process SFTP uploads needs to be enabled first and foremost, and you can choose different mappings to apply to other files you import via SFTP, depending on the folder they are uploaded to.

SFTP imports can currently be done for Tasks and Driver schedule exceptions.

Use case

In case you have two files - one containing the address information, and another one with the same columns used for collections, instead of deliveries. For this to work you would need to set up correct mappings, depending on the folder the imports are being sent to. For example, you would use Imports/tasks/deliveries for the address file and select one of your pre-made mappings for this case, and for collections, you can set for instance Imports/tasks/pickups (or however the folder is called) and pick another mapping from the dropdown which you would like to use for this case.
