There are 3 types of tolerances you can set up for your Drivers in eLogii and they are Earliness Tolerance, Lateness Tolerance and Overtime Tolerance. They allow you to go over the limitations that were set in place and allow for more flexibility in your operations. The values for tolerances are added in minute format, which means if you'd like the overtime, for example, to be for 2 hours, you would need to enter 120 minutes.
Setting up Driver Earliness/Lateness and Overtime Tolerance can be done in Configuration β Optimization β Tolerances.
.
Driver Earliness/ Lateness Tolerance
Limiting how early or late the Drivers can be on site allows you to have more adaptability in how the system regards Tasks, and it can be extremely useful in case there are issues on the road (e.g. slow traffic due to a traffic accident or route redirection due to any other unpredictable circumstance). For example, if your Delivery ETA is 13:00, and your Driver arrives at 13:05 and completes the Task by that time, if the Lateness tolerance is set to 10 minutes, then that Task would not be considered as late.
Overtime Tolerance
Setting up an overtime tolerance gives drivers flexibility in their schedule in terms of allowed overtime can be set in.
For example, if you want to account for cases when there's more work to be done (for example, during busy seasons when customers place more orders than usual), having this feature will let you fit in a couple of more Tasks to your Drivers' routes, without tampering with their schedules.
Overtime tolerance can also be set on a Driver level as well, and it will override the Configuration settings.
