In this article you will learn about:

Creating a Driver account

Adding a new Driver manually can be done in Drivers β‡’ Add a Driver.

Creating their username and password is mandatory as the driver will use this to log in to the Driver app.

Click Save once all the required data has been added.

Bulk-importing Drivers is also possible and explained in this article: link

Please note that currently, due to the way the optimization engine works, it's not possible to produce Routes without Start and End locations. To calculate optimal combinations of stops, the eLogii needs to know either where the Route will start from, and it can end at the last Task, or where it ends, and it can start at the first Task. One of them needs to be set, but we give multiple options depending on the use case - Depot location, Driver home / Custom address, Last known location, or No location (though this one cannot be used for both start and end).

Editing Driver Profile

Here are some of the changes you can make here:

At the bottom of the Driver Profile you are able to see Timestamps, as well as when the Driver was last seen.

πŸ’‘ Pro tip

In case you wish to exclude the travel time between the Start location of the Driver and the first Task And or the travel time between the last Task and the End location of the Driver's route - The driver's Start location or End location can be set to "No location" to indicate that their Route should start/end at the first/last task. However, the optimization engine requires at least one of them to be specified.

Setting Driver Schedules and Route Stop Limit

Creating a driver’s schedule can be done in Drivers β‡’ Driver profile β‡’ Schedule.

There is also the option of adding multiple schedules (i.e. with intervals in between - for example, morning and an evening shift) for a single driver.

If they have the same working hours each day, click Copy to all days and the time frames will be applied for the entire week.

Alternatively, if they have the same schedule as all other drivers, click on Copy to all Drivers.

Deleting the schedule can be achieved by selecting Clear Day.

You can read about driver Schedules, schedule exceptions, and breaks in more detail here.

Click Save once all the changes have been added.

In case you have Multiday Routes enabled, you will be able to set the Driver's schedule for Multiday Routes here as well. An additional section within the Schedule page will appear and you will be able to define the Driver's MRD schedule in the same way as you define the regular schedule.

Limiting the number of Tasks your Drivers can handle daily

Defining the maximum number of stops the Driver can make per route is also possible. This can be done in Drivers β‡’ Driver Profile β‡’ Route Stop Limit.

πŸ’‘Pro tip
Note that If you disable the feature to show depot-based pickup feature (Configuration β‡’ Dashboard settings β‡’ Show depot-based pickup) you will be unable to see the pickups in the Drivers route. This may be the reason why you might not be seeing all the stops on your Driver's route.

For example, you set up to have 20 stops, but you're only seeing 10 stops. What is happening is that the system is also calculating the pickups, so when this is added up it amounts to 20, as 10 pickups + 10 deliveries = 20 stops in total.

What you can do in this case is set the route stop limit to be for example 40, which would amount to 20 pickups and 20 deliveries, giving the desired result.

Assigning a Vehicle to a Driver

Assigning a vehicle to a driver can be done in Drivers β‡’ Driver profile β‡’ Vehicle.

Click Save once a vehicle has been selected.

Please note that, depending on your account configuration, drivers can also select their own vehicles directly from the driver app. You can enable this in Configuration β‡’ Driver App β‡’ Allow Driver to select Vehicle.

Deleting a Driver

To delete a single Driver go to Drivers β‡’ Driver Profile β‡’ Actions β‡’ Delete

It's also possible to delete multiple Drivers.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to the Driver Section

  2. Switch the Selection mode toggle on

  3. Select the Drivers you wish to delete

  4. Click Actions and select Delete
