Allowing live changes to be made in the Planning screen can be done in Configuration ⇒ Optimization.

For example, if a new task for today has been received, while there are ongoing routes, the delivery can be added for today and could be taken into account amongst already en-route tasks.

Click on Save once the feature has been enabled.
