Within eLogii, the Driver's return location could be set as Deport or a Custom Location.

Return to Depot

If you choose a Depot as the end location. this means that Drivers will return to the designated Depot at the end of the Route, and the return leg will be calculated as part of the overall Optimization. Additionally eLogii will ensure the Driver reaches the Depot before, or at, the end of their schedule.

To enable this option go to Configuration Optimization Additional options and enable Return to depot at end of route.

Click Save once the feature has been enabled.

Also possible is ensuring that only Drivers assigned to a specific Depot can deliver to it. To enable this, select the option in the Configuration ⇒ Optimization.

Click Save once the feature has been enabled.

Returning to Depot for reloads

You needn't worry about this as returning for a depot reload (or 2nd run, in other words) is something that is supported automatically in eLogii - if the vehicle capacity is not high enough to support carrying all orders, but there is enough time in the Drivers' schedules, Vehicles are routed back to designated Depots for additional pickups to deliver. In order for this to be possible, pickups as a general part of tasks need to be enabled.

There is a case where returns for reload would not be possible, and that is If Single segment optimization mode is turned on. eLogii will then ignore everything to do with pickups, which also means there would be no Depot reloads.

Driver Return to Custom Location

Setting up the driver’s route to end at a custom address can be done in Drivers ⇒ Driver profile. This could be their home location for example, or anywhere else.

Select the End Location, switch to custom location and input the address.

Click Save once the information has been added.

Please note that the Driver Return to Depot feature needs to be enabled so that this could be possible.
