Route actions represent a set of actions you can perform for one or multiple routes simultaneously. To access them, right click the Route you wish to perform a specific action on, or select multiple Routes and click the Action button to display bulk actions.

You can do the following:

Swapping Routes and Reassign to another Driver cannot be performed as bulk actions, only as single Driver actions.

Clear Route

Clearing all the tasks assigned to a driver can be done in Planning Screen ⇒ Driver Card ⇒ Clear Route.

This option will simply remove all the Tasks from a particular Driver's route. The Tasks will not be deleted from eLogii entirely, instead they will be unassigned and can be viewed within the Unassigned section when looking at the Task cards on the left hand side of the Operations screen.

Reoptimize Route

Reoptimizing a single route rather than all of them collectively can be done in the Planning Screen ⇒ Driver Card ⇒ Reoptimize Route.

It is possible to select and reoptimize multiple routes. This can be done by entering selection mode and clicking on the routes you wish to reoptimize and selecting the Reoptimize routes option in the Actions dropdown. The Tasks will be kept in the route they were originally assigned to, and will not move around the selected routes. The system runs the reoptimization for each route individually and it will not mix and rearrange Tasks between routes.

Lock/Unlock Route

Locking the route allows reoptimizing the tasks of the day without that route being affected.

This can be done in the Planning Screen ⇒ Driver Card ⇒ Lock Route.

A locked route means that the Tasks within it will not be included in the optimization. However, it is possible to manually assign Tasks to a locked route, and the behavior will depend on the individual Driver Route optimization setup (located in Drivers ⇒ Driver Profile ⇒ Route Optimization). If the Disable auto optimization is switched off for a specific Driver the task will be added at the end of the route, but if it's switched on, then the route will be reoptimized.

If the Auto-optimization option is disabled and the Driver is not excluded from the optimization then the route will be optimized only once when executing the global optimization and it will not be re-optimized again.

💡Pro tip - Tasks being removed from Routes upon reoptimization can be avoided by locking the Task / Route in question.

If you lock a Task, it will stay assigned to the Driver even if you reoptimize, but can be moved around within the Route in terms of the stop order.

If you lock the entire Route - when reoptimizing no changes will be made to that route (no Tasks will be added or removed and the stop order will remain the same).

Swap Routes

In case there are driver routes you’d like to swap, you can do so in the Planning ⇒ Driver Card ⇒ Swap Routes.

This will prompt a window where you can select which route you want to swap it with. Once selected, click Swap Route.

This action will simply copy and paste the optimized route onto the selected Driver. The route will not be automatically reoptimized and the Task order will remain the same after swapping routes. You can swap routes with two Drivers with predetermined routes. In case on hasn't got a Route assigned to them, this action will not be possible.

Routes cannot be swapped if one of the Routes is locked. The locked Route needs to be unlocked first for the action to be possible.

Reassign to another Driver

This action lets you reassign a Route from one Driver to another one who hasn't got a Route. This is very similar to the previously mentioned Swap Routes action, though the only difference is that Performing this action will not re-optimize the route upon re-assigning it to another Driver.

This action cannot be performed if the routes are locked.
