Reverse Tasks is a feature which allows you to create a Task with identical details to an existing Task, but it swaps the Pick up location and the Delivery location.
โ€‹
There are many instances in which reverse Tasks might be useful. For example ,if a Driver needs to pick up an item from a customer they are delivering to in case they delivered the wrong package.

To create a reverse Task, you need to create a Task successfully first, and if you're not sure how to do that, check out this article.

Once you've created a Task click on Actions and then select 'Create reverse task' and select a date, and a task will be created for a specific date. By default the reverse Task will have an Unassigned state, and in order to be added into the Driver's route, you need to switch to Operations (planning screen) and optimize. The Task will automatically be delegated to the Driver who was assigned the original Task.

You can also manually assign the reverse Task to the desired Driver, but keep in mind that manual assignment to a Driver who already has a created route removes constraints, and the Driver will the the 'Unconstrained' label on their card,

It is also possible to create multiple reverse Tasks. Select multiple Tasks and then click Actions and select the option 'Create reverse tasks' and specify the date for when you want reverse Tasks to be created.

It's also possible to create reverse Tasks from the Planning screen as well. Select one or multiple Tasks and click Actions and select the option 'Create reverse tasks.
