Enabling Reattempts

Activating reattempts means that Drivers can try to deliver the Task again after failing for the first time. Reattempts can be enabled in Configuration ⇒ Task Issue Workflow.

How Reattempts work within the Driver app

Once enabled, the Driver will have the option to reattempt the Task from the Task section of the driver app. From there, he can select the Show completed Tasks button to be able to see the Tasks he completed during his route.

Failed Tasks are typically the ones that need to be reattempted, and they are marked in red, making them easy to identify. From the Task options menu, users can select the Reattempt option. Depending on the configuration settings, the reattempted Task can either be automatically placed at the end of the route or assigned a specific time window. Tap Save to confirm the action.

Now the Task will be back on the route, and the Driver can retry it again.

Reattempt Counter

The number of reattempts can be shown on the Task card if enabled in Configuration ⇒ Dashboard settings ⇒ Operations ⇒ Show reattempts in task tooltip.

When a task card is hovered over, the reattempt counter will be shown. If no reattempts have been made on a Task, the counter will not be displayed.

Partially completed Tasks and Reattempt Counter

Even though it's not possible to reattempt partially completed Tasks, a reattempt counter will still be displayed for those Tasks.

Reattempts and Returns are mutually exclusive, and having one option will disable the other. If reattempts are enabled for the task, the return Rask will not be created if a Task fails. You can, however, enable the option to create a return Task if the reattempt fails.
